The leaves and stems of the bouquet are silver-tone.

In very good condition with very little sign of wear, apart from a small amount of tarnishing to the pin. All original stones present.

Brooches don't need to be worn on garments. They look equally good on hats, scarves and bags. I keep mine attached to a heart-shaped padded notice board, so they make a lovely decoration for my bedroom when not being used.

1940s Pale Pink Glass and Bronze Brooch
A really pretty brooch from the 1940s. It consists of a large marquise-shaped glass stone in pale pink with some swirls within the glass, set into a bronze base with leaf-shaped prongs.

The reverse is open and the pin hooks under the clip. There is no lever to fasten the pin into the hook of the clip. This is how the brooch was made, the clasp is not broken.

In very good condition apart from the fact that the pin is a little bent.

All of my jewellery will arrive at your door boxed and beautifully wrapped.

I have photographed this brooch with a necklace that it goes well with. They are not a set and they did not come together, but they do match well. There's no obligation but you can have a look at the last photo in the necklace listing in the 'Vintage Necklaces' category if you wish.

Miriam Haskell Vintage Brooch with Three Oval Faux Pearls
A somewhat unusual filigree gilt bar pin brooch from Miriam Haskell. Made during the 1950s the brooch is quite large and set with three oval faux pearls. The pearls are held by fancy looped prongs.and there are tiny bead details accenting the brooch.

The brooch fastens with a pin and safety catch which is in perfect working order, and the Miriam Haskell signature is on the reverse, at the centre.

There is some very slight surface wear to one of the smaller pearls which takes the form of a small, (approx.1mm) patch that has worn away. It is barely noticeable because the colour underneath the surface is white also. In the first photo here, it is the pearl nearest to you.

A highly sought after collectable Haskell peice to add to your vintage jewellery collection.

Size: 3 1/8" x 1/2"
Price: 63.00 euro

Miriam Haskell established her Miriam Haskell Company in New York City in 1926. From the get-go, her handcrafted floral-themed costume jewellery was a hit with the stylish women of Manhattan, who adored her intricate necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and pins. Haskell loved gilt findings and filigree, faux pearls, Austrian crystal beads, blown glass beads from the island of Murano, and, above all, rose montees.

1950s Small Gold Plated Strawberry Brooch
A really cute little strawberry brooch from the 1950s. Made of gold-plated metal with great detailing. There is a tiny amount of wear to the gold plate in places, on the tips of the leaves and a couple of the raised dots. This doesn't actually show on the brooch when looked at or worn but does show up in the photos if zoomed in on. The price is reflected to take this into account.

A lovely little brooch to add to your vintage jewelry collection. I think it would look really nice pinned to a hat too.

Art Deco Style Faux Tortoiseshell Large Geometric Brooch
This is an old geometric brooch made in the Art Deco style. I'm fairly sure that it isn't an original Art Deco piece, judging by the clip and pin on the reverse. I would say it was handmade, probably during the 1950s or 60s.

The main geometric section is made of faux tortoiseshell bakelite, or maybe lucite. It ends in a point and the top section is assymetrical. A further, slightly domed circular section is attached at the top. This has been set into a hammered gold tone metal base.

It is large at just over 4 1/2 inches in length.

When I first saw it there was something really nice and unusual about it that liked, so I decided to buy it for you, despite it being difficult to describe and unusual to look at. I find it very pleasing. You will too.

Atomic Design became irresistible with the use of atomic motifs and abstract organic forms finding their way into all aspects everyday life. Essentially, the detonation of the first atomic bomb (oddly named "Trinity") ushered in what came to be known as The Atomic Age. The Atomic Era could be described as a surreal and bizarre period of atomic optimism which initially infused an entire culture with promises of the wonders of a nuclear future.
