|1970s Carol Dauplaise Long White Multistrand Necklace|
|This is a long vintage necklace by Carol Dauplaise, from the 1970s. With a silvertone metal push-pull notched clasp, typical of this designer, this necklace begins with translucent (cloudy) round Lucite beads which lead down to the front section where a larger oval shaped Lucite bead is placed, and then, a round, faceted crystal Aurora Borealis glass bead.|
The front section is completed with 24 strands of white sparkly small tubular white glass seed beads which are topped with a ridged Lucite bead cap.
Signed "Dauplaise" on one side of the clasp. There is also a patent number on the other side.

Carol Dauplaise worked for Miriam Haskell from 1959 until 1978, when she left to start her own jewelry company.
Her company developed three distinctive collections over the years. A collection signed by Carol Dauplaise, another signed Forte' starting in 1989 and Dauplaise II, a more affordable jewelry collection presented in 1990.
