1950s Ceramic Pastel Color Ceramic Shell Necklace - Kitsch
Extremely unusual and unique vintage beaded necklace with a ceramic shell pendant.

The pendant and the focal beads which are part of the necklace chain are hand made, but the artist is not known.

The shell itself is a mix of ice cream pastel colored (Neapolitan) stripes in mauve, pale blue, pale green, pale pink, and cream, all with an iridescent finish, and the large focal beads are a mix of the same pretty, iridescent colours, one on each side of the chain, working upwards in the same format as on the shell.

In between the focal beads, there are small glass pearls with a small round gold tone bead separating each set of pearls from each pretty focal bead.

The top of the chain is finished off with a long gold tone bead that looks like a coiled spring, but it isn't - it's another unusual bead, and the clasp is a circular ring clasp.

This necklace is in extremely good condition. In fact it is 'as new'. It's a lovely piece of jewellery and very well made.

Great for the beach, or if you're into rockabilly and Imelda May, or just plain funky colours, then this is a winner.

The necklace measures approx. 22 inches long and the shell pendant is approx. 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/4 inches.
